no. bort giving just the WL guys what they want is whats wrong. a lot of us just want to play for a couple of seasons and restart but we cant because it isnt nearly as fun as watching older dots, so we spend a year doing nothing to watch our dot for a couple of months then restart.

if this was implemented, the WL guys could do their long term shit while us folks who enjoy just playing for fun can go to the new game and have fun for 4-5 months then restart AND enjoy another 4-5 months with no year in between the enjoyment.

Not sure what your 2 paragraphs has to even do with the WL at all.

WL? nothing. just the agents in it. you wouldnt understand since youre one of the top agents in this game and can build the best dots and are a stellar coordinator. you enjoy how the game is, at least i assume you do.

the rest of us just want a dot for a few months, not over a year but we also want them to be enjoyable to watch. its a brutally slow process just to watch a dot at plateau. all this suggestion is asking is for another GLB game to come out but be a faster version so we can build new dots every 4ish months.

I brutally watch my dots just like you.

I just finally got done watching 2 of my teams pull out of the brutal stage and I have one more coming through the pipeline. It isn't any different of an experience for me just because I coordinate in WL.

You are part of a small minority with the experience and the resources to get to the top. Most of us do not have the popularity to recruit the best agents to get very far. By about reginal minors I am dealing with inactive agents and bad builds and have to start over and over.

I think the inactives slit their wrists when they realized it takes a freakin year and a half to build a player. A year and a half? Really? Is this really the best way to keep new agents interested?

1 year and one month to build a player and you can actually call it less than a year before the games actually become pretty interesting as games get good by level 64.

And I interact with new people in this game everyday. These kinda games take social networking to build up a team. I am popular because I got good at coordinating. People will take on good coordinators. Hell some teams will take on mediocre coordinators in pro actually. I also make a lot of my own players and am far from a top builder in the game when it comes to effective levels, but I know what works from using the experience I gain through coordinating these dots.

Now while I agree it would certainly be nice to see the middle stages of this game (University through National Minors) a lot more playable or even worked at a faster rate, I can't currently see them quicken that process until at least they shoot out a couple more popular games to keep this game upright. And they aren't going to remake this into a shorter new game anytime soon as they are in the process of creating some other new games to bring in a wider audience of players.

But in the meantime, if you want to achieve the status of getting less inactive agents or even solid builders on your team, grab a coordinating job in the upper leagues, get in on the private forums that are quite helpful, social network yourself to where you have the means to get a good group of guys together and come up the ranks.

People call the WL "good old boys" or an "exclusive club"...blah blah...you know why that is? It isn't because the game is built around it. It isn't even because it is ultimately that hard to get there. It is because there are about 20 coordinators in the game who just keep plugging teams up over and over into it. Which is a shame. The bigger shame? We could condense the player building time frame and there would still be 20 coordinators in the game slapping each other around.

this is the scare tactic that conformists use when they have no logic to back it up imo

this is one things that needs to be addressed here ...you can say that you good at coordinating and there are also a few good coordinators in peewee, but I don't see any WL/Pro teams falling over themselves to recruit them for the job ...need to be given a chance with a team with good builds to prove yourself ...I'd like to see how well your coordinating fares with a team of shit builds and how many WL/Pro teams acknowledge the good job that you did with those shit builds ...WL only have a few coordinators that are given the privilege of coordinating teams with superior builds and let's face it, if your team doesn't have superior builds, then your chances for success in WL and Pro and pretty limited even if you are a good at coordinating ...the catch22 is that WL/Pro will never realize who is most ideal for the coordinating job, if the team owners of them are not willing to give som1 outside of their circles a chance

Bort liked the idea of instant level 40 players but DigitalDaggers killed the idea because he thought it would hurt the game's revenue.

This is wrong. There is a perpetual shortage of coordinators so when someone shows talent in that area, it gets noticed. It's not that hard to get an opportunity. And a lot of us do coordinate pretty questionable builds from helping out friends and such.

LOLO, at thinking I am a conformist. I just know in the past some changes have screwed things up more then helped. The game needs to focus on the community first and get trading, free agents, and salary to be much bigger to the game to keep the interest of users then work on the aspects of this sort of thing with a well thought out plan, so it actually works as intended.

we'll have to disagree on that one then coz imo many agents that have potential @ coordinating get discouraged by the privileged few that have access to the decent builds

i believe they said this wont happen because it removes the rpg aspect out of the game...personally I think the game would be much improved if you allowed people to create full level 79 players every season. it would improve competition because you could tailor build a team to exactly the styles of play you want. increased competition will increase enjoyment which will increase marketability.

right now the sim is designed for higher end, so the lower end stuff is terribly boring. does anyone really enjoy seeing hb and fb screens dropped because proper build strategy forces you to not apply catching attribute immediately?

the way that i see it is that you either tailor a sim designed for the build design at each level or you let people who just want to play in the big leagues play with new players in the big leagues instead of wasting them away for several seasons until they are ready to actually play.
