My formula has worked impeccably for me for many seasons. It is better to end with a few extra tokens than to be a few short..thats all i'm saying on this subject.

And I agree with that.

Depends if you're going for a 3 AEQ dot or a 4 AEQ dot (ignoring 2 AEQ dots.)

Depends if you shop or custom build pieces - latter generally takes a lot more BTs.

Depends on many things and should use the VPB to figure out things at different stages in a dots career.

So, the answer is depends.

I agree but what TheBear says about having extra BT's rather than coming up short should be a part of this as well. I have tried to "nail it perfect"... even was successful the first time I tried it... but if you miss, it sucks. Big time.
