Ok... let's follow that thinking:

Rookie - JV Middle School
Prep - Vars. Middle School
University - JV HS
Reg Min - Vars. HS
Nat Min - Fresh College
Semi Pro - Senior College
Reg Pro - Rookie Pro
Pro/WL - Veteran Pro

????

Where as I kind of see it as:

Rookie - (Elementary 5-11)
Prep - Middle School (11-14)
University - JV HS (14-16)
Reg Min - Vars. HS (16-18)
Nat Min - Fresh/Soph College (18-20)
Semi Pro - Jun/Senior College (20-22)
Reg Pro - Rookie Pro (20-23)
Pro/WL - Veteran Pro (22+)

But *shrug*

It may seem like a cop out, but it is true. That dot probably has less than 40 Agility and Vision, but over 80 Speed. Low Agility + High Speed is like strapping a rocket to a school bus. Can go fast in a straight line, but cant turn or stop quickly at all. Then add in the likelihood to not pass the first vision check to see the cut, and that replay is what you get.

I agree with your premise tho. The solution is either to change the way players progress (i.e. no ALGs so that taking one attribute really high is not better in the end) to make building balanced the best way at all ages, or to make a sim for each age group that takes into consideration the established build strategies. However, neither change is going to be made, so cop out or not, it is what it is.

you obviously didnt read the op..the guy in the example is training Agility first...his speed is mid 20s or so with gear i think...his agility is as high as it can be at this point...his vision is not great..but playing m2m shouldnt require very much. IF the cb is playing it correctly...i.e. with his eyes on the receiver...my 6 year old can see when i stop running if he is following me...

i specifically made one guy this season as an experiment with agility first..in hopes that maybe he wouldnt overrun plays by 10 yards....not helping much....so i assume the problem the must be vision..though i would think the vision checks would be pretty simple for something like a quick slant route...its one cut with the the guy in front of you when he cuts....guy cutting im sure have no agility..so my high agility guy should have NO problem staying with him...he should get burned on the deep routes..but im not seeing that

You are very confused on attribute placement...for that I think you need to consult dots that are doing great in those things and get acquainted with that....i think you have run completely off course with your line of thinking and that has produced shit dots for you.

because this never happens in real life

I hate it when league levels are compared to real life. When I played RL peewee ball we didn't run the wrong way once the ball was in the air or run directly to our bench on screen passes. It was serious buisiness.

i have plenty of good dots...i made him agility first to try and combat just this thing..my other CBs are speed first...it doesnt seem to make a damn bit of difference. The agility guy does a bit better maybe with staying near his guy but not what you would expect..since the guys he is covering are all 20ish agility or something.

let us also remember we are talking age 7 dots in the OP....but I am more talking about the life of a dot.

TBH, that looked exactly like the plays from when I played football in grade school. Why do we have all these levels if you expect rookies to act like WL players? Its rookie ball, you can probably count a few hundred WTFs every game.
