I've never made a 2 AEQ on purpose, but I've helped a lot of people with messed up 3 AEQ builds turn them into something serviceable by cutting down to 2 AEQ.

I'd still go 3 or 4. With three you can still push extremely hard in that first attribute. It's hard to imagine doing enough better in that to make up for the loss of three equipment points.
