The only ai on the test server is the ones people have created. There is no way to copy it over directly from the live server. Custom plays all have different ids so you would have to link everything back up. Certain plays were copied case by case but full ais were not.

btw my comment was not serious, a little out of character I know

It was cancelled due to lack of entries. Myself and a few others will be working on some new presets. Hopefully for next season but not 100% on that eta.

it really should be a DPC contest on the D side imo.

Hmmm, I totally missed the entire thing - was it in announcements? I certainly would have submitted if known - my bad, I guess.

I understand why you couldn't use packages or custom plays from a logistical standpoint, but that pretty much killed it for 90% of the coordinators.

Yea If you would of allowed people to use packages and custom plays it would of been so much better as people would probably submit their real OAIs/DAIs

But no GLB would rather have some people make some shitty ass AIs and then end up not even finishing the thing.

I would have made one but you have to make them with individual plays, not packages, which means for EVERY SINGLE INPUT you have to out put a play, personnel, progression and so on...and they wanted like 10 plays per input...and to have a complete AI you would need about 50 inputs minimum. I think mine has closer to 100.

I started making one, then about 5 min in realized it was going to be 8+ hours of work and said, screw this, I don't have time to do it.

I will add to this that everyone has their price. Make the prize for 1st/2nd/3rd 50,000/35,000/15,000 RP and you will get a lot more serious attempts.

Let's go on the basis that these will take 6 hours of work minimum for offense. Bear in mind that you need complete end of half and end of game scenarios, which means you will have to have a basic AI then situational setups for 2nd and 4th qtrs and probably some of your basic AI repeated in those quarters. Then if you have 10 pass plays in your 3rd and long, you have to enter in the play manually, enter in the personnel manually, enter in the progression manually. That is 3rd and long. Again, this procedure has to be repeated 50-100 times. I would say at least 6 hours for a very basic AI and approaching 10 hours for a more complex one.

2,000 RP is approximately 700 FPs, which would cost about $7 to buy. For 6-10 hours of work, that is about $1 per hour. No one will do this. But 50,000 RP is approximately 18,000 FPs which would cost about $125 to buy. Now there is real incentive. Many of the people who are top coordinators and builders in this game have spent well over $1,000. There has to be some incentive to make them work for many hours like this.

Also in general I have found that a huge prize is very effective at increasing participation, even if you have only 1 and the rest are smaller. Even if it were 50,000/10,000/5,000 people would be captivated by that 50,000 and try to get it.
