I agree. Speed, Agility, Tackling, Strength, Vision, Stamina, Jumping, Confidence. I would probably sacrifice strength a bit more than this build in order to have stamina, vision, and jumping be higher.

1) Jumping is important for diving tackles and deflections
2) Vision is important for getting off the line, deflections at the line, planning the right route to the QB, and breaking off the blitz to hit a screen or running play
3) If you only have one dedicated blitzer, stamina is going to be very important to maintain your attributes.

I'm not suggesting a vast decrease in strength or a vast increase in jumping/stamina/vision btw.

1. irrelevant to blitzing
2. slightly relevant but 3rd cap is fine and can augment a bit with JTS worst case ... VASTLY overrated on blitzing
3. irrelevant if used only for blitzing - really how much are you going to blitz a game?

if you are going to build a blitzer ... build a blitzer and don't water him down to do other things half ass

this this this

Especially with LBs where you have the luxury of a custom slot.

You presume that just because you are sending someone to the QB that is his only job. My LBer made 75 tackles last season: only 33 of those were sacks.

Missed tackles and missed vision checks on runs are the reason that weak side runs can dominate. A lack of jumping on a blitzer will make them miss a lot of diving tackles on the modern powerbacks when they shouldn't have that issue if they are using Power Tackler VA.

I blitz a LBer pretty much any time there is a RTE and PQB in. I'm going for hurry pressure and sacks and my defence is set up to just for that.

If you are so concerned with the run why would you ever go with 65 strength? I build my blitzing CBs are 90+ strength/agility. 65 strength is a joke and leaves you with minimal shed block ability.

Nonetheless, that 72 jumping is overkill and a huge waste of SPs. Jumping's impact on diving tackles isn't that large that you need 72 jumping.

1) If there was a blocking TE lined up on the weak side, there is a blitzer coming from the strong side
2) If you have to break a block using strength, you probably weren't going to win that one with 80 strength either
3) Tackling is WAY more important than strength in making a tackle against a runner or a QB
4) Jumping is a huge factor in making diving tackles, far more so than strength
5) ...no, you are a joke.

So do I, I'm not saying your way is wrong, they are two different builds to do two different things.

Expected Final Build

Speed - 105.1 (160.1)
Agility - 95.1
Strength - 80.26
Tackling - 80.1
Vision - 68.26
Stamina - 60.26
Jumping - 40.1
Confidence - 40.26

Big Sack - 10
First Step - 10
26 SPs saved for TBA SAs

Break Block, Make Tackle, and Big Sack AEQ...Break Block CEQ

Bunch of screw ups on his build so far due to the fact that he is my first real dot I've tried to build past rookie/prep, but I refuse to retire him and start over

yeah he was just a guy i was trying to make a pure QB FF kind of dot. i wouldnt take strength that high again but he was fun to watch until i put him in pro. he's a pile of shit. We'll see how he does next season when he hits 79.

If you still have time/resources for it, ditch Big Sack. The ladies totally don't dig it.

Srsly, choose something like Disguise Blitz.

even while being on wrap up its useful to have FF% over MT% or BB%?

my older LB that i posted in this thread uses power tackling usually so i gave him a FF% but is it really worth it to use my CE for FF%?
