Because you get confused easily and don't know very much about GLB, which is why you constantly give bad advice that I have to correct. Did you forget what I pointed out about so much of the dot's equipment being in agility? Did you notice what I said about him playing left tackle for his team? Yea dude u seriously missed the boat Wizz, I quoted u in my first post (otherwise known as My OP) having stated that u thought it was a bad idea to take SA's from the opposing tree, that would normally indicate that I was saying that what u said was wrong. Im not sure how else to put it tbh cause its fairly obvious and im sure JDragon could easily comprehend what was being hinted at. And for the record the OP of the thread said nothing about a run blocker, ever. In fact he said his OT, in which he first asked how to finish it. Seeing his build in the link would tell anyone he plays LT. His second question he was simply reverting back to the same OT he linked earlier.
Personally I dnt mind taking penalty SA's, some are still too good to not take but no one knows the penalty so some people are not willing to take the risk. Pass block, it is pretty meh to begin with. Protector, shock block and get low are the top 3 SA's for a LT if u ask me. Protector for obvious reasons, shock block even for a pass blocking OT can work well when ur facing weak RDEs and get low has always been a good SA for any OL. Cut block used to be epic but its been nerfed

Not confused... I simply read the posts. But you are correct. I did NOT go and personally check out the build for his PASS BLOCKING SA question. I had already checked out his run blocker he had posted. So I wrongfully assumed he was asking about a second build he hadn't posted for viewing. In that, you are correct and I am wrong for not looking deeper into what you were trying to say. I apologize for that. Still, if you simply take my suggestion based solely on his questionabout pass blocking SA's, I believe I offered decent advice to that question. But not for the dot in question... obviously.

I, too, have taken some SA's from the opposing tree. I guess I didn't explain very well but certain opposite SA's get penalized (which you point out) and so, if you're build a PURE style, it's not a good idea. I have an OT that, due to lack of bodies available, needed to be able to help out as a pass blocker... so, even though he's a run archetype, I took some pass blocking SA's to help that. It's not what I wanted to do... but it worked out well enough. I still don't advise taking penalized SA's... but it's not a total build killer either.

Foundation was useful back when DL could actually push OL backwards. That doesn't seem to happen anymore.
