So, it just depends on how important the "journey" is. If your entire focus for your dots is just getting them to 79 and you couldn't care less what happens along the way, then you're fine: just adjust your build plan accordingly, and move forward. But if you care about how your dots performs on his way up the ladder, well, he's probably not going to have many chances to excel prior to Plateau, unless you keep re-signing him to good teams in crappy leagues every season.

I do not totally agree. I have one player that I missed that first set of boosts for and his production is almost identical to those players on the team that are 2 levels above him.

But the key is that the team management is aware -- I am at level 40 now and still getting that random GM PMing me every season to get those boosts in and occasionally the DC will forget and assign positions based on level before ability.

sounds like an exploit?

And yah, the reason sounds a little like this.

With some gameplanning we can still in early on too though and make the playoffs every season. Its just that we wont be boosting until day 48 every season hile others will boost for the playoffs that makes it not really worth it.

As far as superior dots tho. Its as close to SSB as you can get now and still make Pro/WL. Its kinda a no brainer.

But yes, I'm the one who proved you actually can get a slightly better dot at plateau by not doing so even though I had legions of people yelling at me that it was wrong, all because some people who can't build that well ended up with crappier players.

idk i think you are wrong

for the build it doesn´t matter, if doing it right you will have the same or sometimes slightly better endbuild, but there is no real difference.

Biggest downfall is that you forget to boost in a few seasons and than you are not able to reach lvl 79 and need to retire him.

There was recently a discussion in one of my new teams about this.

Someone raised a good point that training value is best when skills are at 80+. It will take longer for your skills to reach those levels by not boosting from 1-4, so you will spend a little less time training them there. Therefore, some of your training gains early will be canceled later on. I've tested this some in the VPB and it seems to check out.

Combine that with losing a couple VAs and not being as competitive until plateau and I would never hold boosts on purpose.

But, they can still be competitive if you are a good builder. I have a couple dots like that who have whooped ass, they just would have done better if I had boosted then.

Nothing says you have to save light training for the end. You can light train at various points along the way to save more multi-training for later on.

Except that multi training gives you a better training value by a lot, which helps you hit caps faster, which gives you better ALGs. This training value I am talking about is not exclusive to light training either..... In fact it is more noticeable during multi-train, best shown visually with Mandy's charts.

I misunderstood part of your post, but what I said first still apllies, you want to do all of you multi training first.

No, you actually don't, for exactly the reasons you articulated above.
