Troll elsewhere. Yes there are further definations of a dot, but for the sake of GLB the first definition is all that matters and Vlady pointed out why.

Since a circle has no facets, it is much easier to represent visually in the play-by-play, not to mention code in general.

easier to represent visually than perhaps an asterisk or something else that doesn't necessarily change the representative? Why for the sake of GLB is the only definition the only one that matters, simply because that is the only one that has been used previously? Things change. You are not nearly open-minded enough nor intelligent enough to have this conversation or call me a troll. I am not trolling I am merely pointing out the facts.

And you could be more wrong here, but I am not real sure how.

Just because you can change something, doesn't mean you should. It's been dotball since day 1, there is zero benefit to changing it to something else. Has nothing to do with me being open minded. Besides answer me this, if a asterisk changes directions (turns or spins) should I expect to visually notice that since there are facets for me to key off?

You are arguing for the sake of arguing, not to mention heaving out insults, hence you are trolling.

I have faith, a smart guy like you, should be able to find it.

Well it is about as wrong as a statement can get. I remember my physics instructor in HS was fired from NASA because of a SNAFU his department made in not converting from inches to cm.... it is nearly as stupid a mistake as that.

I never said that it should be changed. I merely pointed out the inaccuracy of your statement and that fact that simply because something has always been a particular way doesn't mean it can't change. Are you seriously unable to hold any conversations?

You know what a troll is, kind of anyways. Unfortunately you are not able to accurately determine when someone is fitting the definition.

No, pretty sure I got you pegged right. At least in this conversations. Not making a blanket statement.

But I'm tapping out of this conversation. Never did answer the question about the asterisk, wonder why that is?

Hey, at least we definitively agree on something!

Well if you ever decide you want to be right just ask me what to say. Clearly, you can't be depended on to be so.

I am sorry I missed you question about the asterisk. Technically, it doesn't matter. Remember, how often we have been told that what we are seeing on the replay isn't exactly what happened on the play? Also, remember we are told that dots don't have a front or back. Therefore, turning dots regardless of what the marker is doesn't matter in the least. Really the facets argument is completely null and void based on those. Do I really need to explain that it doesn't matter past that point if the representative marker does or doesn't turn based on the reactions of said dot?

Dots are nothing more than images. There was once a script that could turn the dots into player avatars. There is no difference in coding them.
