Yeah, I wouldn't call GLB done. An influx of just 10,000+ active users would double the community (idk the current #'s but 10,000 was the last that Catch said). That's very plausible.

I'm very optimistic.

Not done in the sense that the game is shit now but I mean done as in nothing new is going to happen ya know

10,000+ people will join the new game. All of them coming from GLB. If they put GLB adds all over the new site we might get 500 people.

No, the userbase is in dire need of some new blood. I for one am excited about the possibility of increased activity here. I just hope the PTB make sure GLB is ready for it and make this place much more user friendly for noobs.

Hell I remember the talks about having a reset and how that was flat out just not going to happen under any circumstances. Looking back though I will admit I think they got more things right then they did wrong. VA's was a good addition at the time, they made the right choice as far as not having coaches (which was a complete money grab), the fixes to the training system.

Its just the things that they did wrong that really makes this game irritating at times

I suspect that will be up to us (the current users). GLB has never really been user-friendly at its core. Its users figuring it out and teaching other users that has allowed it to sustain itself for so long.

For now, yeah. The reality is that time/effort had to be redirected. Dumping tons of time into GLB just isn't going to happen.

Here's the big plus with the new game. Originally, the money wasn't there as GLB was Bort/DD's first trip to the rodeo. Now they are seasoned with a stream of cash from GLB.

I still think this site needs an interactive tutorial. Something to guide a new user step by step when first creating a dot, buying a team, ect...
