Roll to beat: 60 to 80
Your base roll: 40 to 100

Therefore, your base chance to win is between 33% and 66%

Increase of 15% makes your new roll 46 to 115.

Therefore new chance to win the roll is between 50% and 80%

Admittedly, a pretty poor example because it does work out to a 15% additive increase, but I didn't do the math before I just randomly made up a coupe numbers.

Roll to beat: 100 to 125
Your base roll: 80 to 120

Therefore, your base chance to win is between 0% and 50%

Increase of 15% makes your new roll 92 to 138.

Therefore new chance to win the roll is between 28% and 82%

Additive increase of around 30%.

We weren't arguing. I agree that it's multiplicative. I was just saying his first example was a little over simplified. No big deal really, although my OCD is really having a tough time dealing with the probability "ranges" in his later examples. Ugh.
