I would argue the opposite. Second Wind would appear to be least useful on special teams-only players since they should have the least energy loss. It's dots that play offense or defense as well as special teams that would need the extra energy.

Yeah I tend to like 2nd wind on d backs simply because 4th quarter just tends to be time to air it out

I agree in half. You're right... dots that play BOTH ST's AND backup at their regular positions need it MORE... but it's still a good thing for STOP archetypes because they usually tend to play on ALL ST formations rather than as fill-in's in selected formations.

No, it isn't. If you're only playing special teams then you should be ending games with 90+ energy anyway.

Dahman makes dots with low stamina if i remember correctly, so SW is legit for him. It does help a defense a lot in the secondary.

I am not totally sold on slow starter. It makes sense but it is a giant OAI pain in the ass, making the game less fun.

I agree. Some people do tend to address stamina as a lower level skill and therefore end up with not enough of it. For them, SA's and VA's that can boost it in any way become decent alternatives. I just wish the penalties for slow starter weren't as heavy... perhaps even at the expense of the bonus. It doesn't really need to be that big... but, perhaps, that's the rub.

It is 50/50 right now, but I still know of builds that benefit from using it. Back when you could get the same thing for 1 VP I used it.

For 2 VP I would have a dot with 1 SS and 1 Streaky, for 30 VP you have a dot with 15 in each. I've got 28 more VP to spend for those quarters when the dot is hot to make them incredible.

For 2VP I've got a dot with a 50% chance of being -10% on all stats in first quarter, +1% to all stats in the fourth and a 50% chance of being normal in the first quarter and plus 11% on the fourth (+5% the rest of the game). With auto adjust, you can key in on that player because he's going to be making plays all game long. And in the fourth quarter when he's gone from 100 speed natural to 111 speed, you could just make plays over the top all game long, even against ball hawk defenders.

Ya that would be super cool. If you knew when that dot was hot and cold. The fact that you never know makes this incredibly stupid.

Or back when streaky was almost auto firing for 15 VPs u could have a beast everygame... which is why its nerfed now.
