In all honesty, I really want the pyramid brought back but they said that's not going to happen. I'm just trying to find a way around that in order to bring some identity back to non-Pro/WL teams. It's really hard to do without the pyramid.
I would really like to see 4 or 5 good ideas brought about and have the userbase vote on which one they like. This really seems like something the admins should try to organize in an effort to re-energize the userbase. Obviously they could conduct this in the game changes forum in a much more organized fashion than I can with a thread in Suggestions. I'm simply trying to get the ball rolling and create serious discussion about this subject.

Eh.... don't get me wrong, I loved the pyramid back in the early days, but with the current game mechanics I'm not sure it would be beneficial, particularly in terms of competitiveness. At least in the current system a well-run team should find itself in a competitive league with challenging opponents most of the way up to reg pro, rather than vacillating wildly between a league where they dominate almost everyone, and a league where almost everyone dominates them.
If plateau was longer I'd say we could use a more fully-formed uncapped pyramid than we have now, but the way it works now there's really no way to implement a system that would require slowly moving up the ranks once you hit plateau.
In any case, one of the problems is that with the devs working on the new games, they don't have time to do massive overhauls of the system. I think the kind of stuff you and I are discussing regarding league names and progression through the lower levels are things that might not take too much time.

Yeah, this really isn't about bringing back the pyramid. More of bringing back the cares to leagues outside Pro/WL like we had when the pyramid system was in place.
