if you are lucky enough to survive the prep tourny long enough to face us,
you will get to experience it first hand. but will you know what hit you?!?

Sorry, I'm not that flexible. Too much time spent sitting on my ass playing fake football on graph paper.

ok so the name needs work but i just come up with the ideas

the only problem is, i only hav one power WR, so she has to play every play,
and is spent by halftime... but come to think of it- the logistics of having it work
with 2 power WR is doable, but to be able to substitute one for the other,
and still control when the speed WRs line up- i don't think it could be done.

so, therein lies the flaw- the power WR must play every offensive snap for it to work.
i wonder how many would still be so keen to adapt the tactic knowing this.
still, it works for us-
my Genny Cat still blocks DBs to the ground with 1 energy, the lil devil

{and she can catch a mean pass too, but atm not run too fast wit it)

lol, who care your power back could block well or nor at prep level?
Actually even speed wr with 8 str and 8 blk can do as well as your power wr....-_-

i wish they could... but our speed WR just wont hold the blocks very long

If you must use them, do it like we used to have to do with a RQB. Custom TE slots. Kind of cripples your TE passing though.

Anyone have a blocking WR? I'm trying to figure out how to input them into the OAI for rushing plays, but not have them on the field for passing plays. Any tips? What has worked for you?

There's no way to have them come in just for rushing plays.

My best advice would be to cluster them in a WR slot where you can avoid progressions to them.

She has receiving skills as well, because she will be on the field on pass plays as well.

i mean damn how obvious can it be?!?
does no one else at all remember how wildcat was run before ther was a custom QB slot?

as for hurting our TE passing game, we kinda get around that in 2 ways-
one- we'll use a blocking TE or BTE for the play and presto
two- we dont use a ST WR, we use a power WR. she catches the ball as well,
probably better, than anyone else on the team. might not run fast YAC,
but still being a power WR, she makes a very good possession TE...

as for this whole thing about not needing more than 8 str for a WR to block well,
thats just reactionary butt hurt whining. they had a play here or there wher a puny WR got a lucky block,
or was just lucky to be in the way, and basically ther defense is not set up well enough to be in position to overcome that.
so instead of blaming ther D for not being designed well enough, they blamed the game...

the fact of the matter is, at least with our teams and who we play against at prep level,
the 8 str WR is usually NOT good enough at blocking to hold his block for more than a sec or two.
now, maybe if your HB is fast enough he still has just enough time to get past it, he runs for a long TD,
and now your DC is wondering why the game hates him so much and WRs block so well.
the next similar play, the WR holding his block is not long enough and the CB makes the tackle.
of course, the DC doesnt even register this play, while now the C is wondering why the game hates him.
neither of them really understands the game.

weak WRs often get reverse pancaked, or can barely hold the block, allowing the CB to blow up the play.
thats not even mentioning safeties and LBs... our Genny Cat doesn't get pancaked, and holds her block
making it that much easier to run. i wish more agents made power WR instead of the cookie cutter speedster build...
i would definitely sign them!
