Applying some type of false morality to an internet game... that sounds wise. If there are no formal rules against it and no way to combat the practice, then it's not cheating.

There was more to it than that. It was gaming the system at the time.

That wasn't gaming the system. Using the team that is gutting into you to lay down so you can stat whore was gaming the system.

Going out of your way to collude and try and ruin the enjoyment of other users is not something that we want to see happening here, especially at the highest level of the game.

I'm fairly certain that nobody in this thread is denying that using two teams in the same league to stat-pad is cheating.

Then again, doing that also doesn't help you win at the game in the slightest, so even calling that cheating may be a bit of a stretch.

How about gaming the system to transfer money and EQ from one team to another? That was the more common collusion.

you mean when cash did stuff and you could fuck people over by not paying for their EQ then trading them to your bro who rotted them all season long so they got no exp and MY BUILD SHE IS RUINED? Good times. It was like the game was run by Ayn Rand rather than some stoners in Portland.

It was kind of fun getting to the higher levels and not having enough cash to buy EQ for half the team.

That didn't really happen much.

Back when recruiting dots from teams that were gutting got you labeled as a cheater.

Good times.

I loved seeing trade requests, before I even knew I had a team, I actually got some great players, but then went broke really quick.

My favorite was making accounts, buy teams on those accounts, trading players for large sums of money from my team on my main account to the players on the other accounts, releasing those players, selling the teams, and then resigning them to the original team.

This is why there are so many rules now.

"False morality"... sounds like life in general.. theres a lot of "false morality" going on...

But then again holding to your logic.. if you kill someone and dont get caught, its not against the law now is it...
