nothing worse than finishing 2nd place in a close MVP race and then also losing the EQ lottery to a different dot. Happens a lot to my bLBer. Of course, when my 5th place guy wins, it's always justified. 
My retiring punter won the MVP and the EQ as well. Gonna do him a lot of good when he's sitting on the beach.

I think the whole premise of not giving away gear to the #1 guy automatically was so idiots who spam their way to the MVP don't get any competetive edge. It helps your chances of winning it but at least now any of the legit guys have a shot. However, in cases where a dot was really the MVP but doesnt win the gear, u get screwed.

they should get rid of this anyway. Evil networks can try and game the system to get their farm animals/player this extra advantage (exploit)
I think the reporters who cover dotball should vote on the awards.
