People who say "none" are wrong. That 1st year of decline you have an average 2.5% decrease on athletic atty's, and 1.25% decrease on the rest. Also you can afford a +5 attribute boost every regular season game simply by light training.

5% decline of 150 in an attribute (which is 95 w/o equipment) = 4.75 decline but that's only at the very end of the season if you play d40. Average will be 2.38 decline, which is made up for by +5 boost in that attribute from light training + BT trade-in.

While I understand you decline in more than 1 attribute, protecting your majors is still the biggest deal. Also you could pick and choose which games you need the boost for and double-boost for them. Also positions like QB/K/P where the less declining attributes are their majors, they will 100% be viable in the WL that 1st year of decline. When it'll hurt a little however is the playoffs.

Tell me you aren't temp boosting the Hedgehogs and still only coming close to winning in the regular season.

I would much rather see those BTs go toward SAs or non-optimal training zone attributes like confidence at 40 (but SAs first for most builds).

If a dot wants to do nothing but play in Pro/Regional Pro, they just need to play for Off Tropica.. problem solved.

Quarterback? Kicker? O Line?

Usually the positions in which the FA market is weak for. First season decline is a'ok if there isn't a better alternative to that dot with his decline penalty come playoff time.

We have like 1 player in decline whos a KRer, and I have no blue what he's doing with decline training.

My point is that in that final 32 day season (pre-playoffs) you are getting 32x6/15 = 12 SP to trade in for the playoffs and less during the regular season.

Since people pump their 1st primary to at least the 8-cap (if you factor in SP's/training) +5 to that attribute for each of your regular seson games is worth at least 40 SP for each game. If you are a declining dot looking to have 1 last great season, that +5 in your major for 16 games is gonna help you a hell of a lot more than 12 random SP. Its called math.

I hear that and generally if I am making one more run and have nothing that could obviously benefit from being topped off, I agree.

But if the team is definitely making the playoffs, he also has a point. Those 12 SP could bring a 0 SA to 6, which could be pretty helpful in the playoffs - whereas the temp boosts can do nothing there.

They could, of course, help your seeding in the playoffs. So its not a definite which is best even then.

And really, since making the playoffs is key to avoiding demotion across the board now, temp boosting has alot to be said for it.

Oh and on the subject of aged dots, this 730 day old Center on my Casual Elite team has only given up two hurries and no sacks all season.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1532329

Better than the younger dot in the rotation.

But thats not nat pro which is where I am wondering.

Or was wondering. In light of the commentary here I have extended many of my will be Day 481 dots for S33.
