There are a lot of coordinators that can be burnt out over the course of the season and that 2-3 weeks off is great!

Plus having a 4 day off season will mess up the training for new players and existing ones.

During the off-season, I'm usually doing one of two things:

1.) Taking a much-needed break from GLB stuff, or...

2.) Hyper-analyzing the fuck out of whatever GLB teams I'm associated with, trying to learn as much as I can before the next season begins.

In both cases, I want more time, not less.

That's just, like, my opinion, man.

Oh, man, I didn't even think about that. Training would DEFINITELY have to be addressed.

No, you get the same TP if you created Day 40 you really wouldn't be losing much.

So, since you're cutting the offseason in half, you'd double the number of training points per day to make up for it?

Remember, you get 2 Training Points per day. With our current 16-day off-season, that's 32 Training Points during the off-season. If you shorten the off-season to 8 days, that's 16 Training Points during the off-season. That needs to be accounted for somehow. Remember, people have build plans for currently-existing dots right now that assume they'll get 32 Training Points each offseason, and if you change it, that's gonna be a lot of people having to make big changes to their build-plans.

Your OP doesn't even address Training Points at all, so you should probably go edit it to account for that.

Cool.

Keep in mind, I do agree there's a problem with the off-season, but it's a two-fold problem: for non-coordinators, the offseason lasts too long with nothing to do.

But there are two potential solutions, not just one.

Solution A: Your solution, which is to shorten the offseason. Makes non-coordinators happy, but pisses off coordinators who PREFER the longer off-season.

Solution B: Give non-coordinators something to do in the off-season. Mini-games. Head-to-head dot contests. Dot Olympics. SOMETHING.

Solution B is always going to gain more traction with me, because it makes everyone happy... or at least less un-happy than they were before.

Yeah but your solution B has been brought up before.

Yep... and it frustrates the hell out of me that they haven't implemented it.

Good game, GLB.

Plus a million to the suggestion.

These 3 weeks of down time is why everyone I've brought to this game have left.

-1 Agents like me that run Multiple Teams need that down time to get a break, work on Playbooks, and not to mention, The needed extra time for Recruiting. This Suggestion gives a huge edge to Networks so... NO THANKS!!!!

I guess all these -1's make me worried though that a legitimate problem is getting overlooked simply because one proposed solution is a bad solution.

The problem isn't that the offseason is too long.

The problem is that the offseason is too long WITH NOTHING TO DO FOR PEOPLE WHO DON'T GAMEPLAN FOR OR OWN TEAMS.

THAT is the real problem, and it absolutely needs to be solved.
