I miss the 100+ page weekly boast by SI trying to pull the wool over our eyes that ALB's might just be a top 10 team. lol

USA Pro for awhile had some nice rivalries even after WL ... not sure it's like that currently.

Hard to maintain that, when you have some teams bouncing back and forth between the Pro league and the WL...

Exactly, the Pros were good when you had the usual good teams in there facing off season after season building that rivalry up.

Now, it's a lottery as to what league you are going to be in for the next season. Same goes for the other leagues, whether you'll be promoted to the next Elite, Competitive or other league etc

Just because MEM has sat in USA Pro for a decade doesn't mean their considered a rival anymore.

My teams have plenty of rivalries. At least I think we do. Everyone in our league threads say they hate me.

Watching my biggest rival in GLB slowly gut themselves of any pride is like watching Randy Moss's career.

Agreed, the World League is good for the elite but not for the majority of GLB users who don't have a player or team in there. I really do think the whole World League project is failing as it makes it seem that GLB has an 'elitist' tier ... a League that is effectively killing off other areas of GLB and glorifies users who think they are better than others just because they are in it.

This is why I have long suggested that the World League be dismantled and fed back into the National Pro Leagues (of which there should be six or eight) and instead have a World Championship Tournament on Days 41 to 45 or so using the top placing teams from National Pro.

In that way you have 8 times as many teams "at the top" and every one of them has a shot to win the Bort Cup every season, theoretically.

But then how would you get back to the Nat Pro leagues?
