i built my power rushing qb like this. But you still gonna get 80 yd td runs regardless.

i think this is one of those where "downfield" is the key word--with no line of scrimmage to start from, there isn't technically a downfield on a kickoff return...on a punt return the returner and blocker would both be upfield from the point where the ball was snapped.

The answer is "It does not work" for multiple reasons.

The wiki page has two search features, one for general info and one for quotes from Bort. You can find the Bort quotes under "GLB QA/ Bort Stalker" in the left column and clicking "navigation by topic".

Bort has said that it works for any player close enough to the runner and ahead of him, he has also said:

Question How does Lead Blocking work?
Answer: Vision cone in the direction they are heading that increases in size over time, find closest unblocked dude.

It should work for a back-wedge blocker if the Running Back is behind him and he is the closest to the RB.

Your player is 274 days old, so he's not at Plateau yet. He's just bumped into the Rolling Level Cap, which means XP stops.

However, notice my phrasing there: XP stops. That doesn't mean leveling stops. And remember, there's two ways to level up: through XP gains, and by boosting. You can't level up through XP gains anymore, but you can still level up by boosting.

I'm assuming you've already boosted 3 times this season, correct? If so, just wait for the end of this season. As soon as Season 31 Day 48 rolls over to Season 32 Day -8, you'll have a fresh new set of 3 boosts available to you, just like every pre-season. Use 'em during the pre-season to level up from 73 to 76.

Then, on Day 1, your player will hit that magical age of 281 days old, his first day of Plateau. And that's when your Plateau Boosts become available, meaning you'll then be able to boost up from 76 to 79. And 79 is where all leveling stops. Can't go any higher than that.

Got it?

Question What is considered a lead block in GLB?

Answer Pretty sure that's been answered before; anybody close enough to the runner and ahead of him, or who is specifically coded to "lead block," like the FB on many plays. 90% of the time it's the latter case that's important for skills and such.
