Well, if they are going to keep it perhaps the mods should go in there and move threads to their proper forum/subforum rather than running around the mains locking/moving threads.

Anything that can be posted in a recruiting thread can be posted in a marketplace ad in the huge text box. People can even post below the text box. Only difference between the marketplace and the recruiting forum is the marketplace is much more organized and user friendly. The people that think the antiquated recruiting forum is better than the marketplace are probably the same people that think this game is friendly to new users.

But I concur

I can remember seeing someone post beneath the text box, maybe one time ever.

I pulled up some random players and didn't see any comments. Nobody uses it.

this, you don't have to go there if you find it too hard to use.

are we just going to get rid of everything you find hard to use? and then by contrast everything, everyone finds hard to use

I'm not trying to start an "argument," I just really don't like this suggestion. This is right up there with me on bad decisions next to the one league thread for the entire season at the lower levels.

Would you use a toilet (do #2) if it was broke.... before you answer I know when you have to go, you have to go.

But if I had a choice between a broken toilet (marketplace now), a nice shiny toilet that has just been cleaned with Tilex / lemon scent (market place after upgrades), and a toilet that works but has turd droppings around the floor (PLFT), I'll be sitting on the nice shiny toilet that is lemon scented.

from a team owner standpoint I agree, it would be alot easier to use

from an agent standpoint alot of people like using that forum. I can't imagine that forcing them to use marketplace, wouldn't have a negative effect on activity. I think that getting rid of the plft forum would create some comments but not nearly as much activity as the plft forum has now.

this game barely has any mmorpg aspects, people 100% like their threads getting commented on, its alot more like getting "recruited" imo

Would essentially replace the forum as they would be messages left by recruiters, as well as the ability for the agent to remove messages

This can be tweaked some more, but this is the idea.

Some agents use the marketplace and don't use the recruiting forum. Some use the recruiting forum and don't use the marketplace. So yes, if you're recruiting you do have to check out the recruiting forums.

The only bad decision was Bort not following through with getting rid of the recruiting forums when the marketplace was implemented. What I am suggesting was actually supposed to have happened a long time ago.

The only difference between the text box and comments section in the marketplace and the PLFT forum is the marketplace is less inviting to trolls.

this is a good idea, hopefully someone actually does it

if of course the game survives the current troll epidemic. I don't know how i play this game, they're everywheeeeeeere
