Forum > Suggestions > Make Pee Wee League Teams Cheaper To Encourage Ownership
-1 a team is a team on GLB the cost of that isn't what is hurting peewee. It is that players don't want to make dots for 1 season then kill them off. It is a waste of flex to do so. Besides it isn't ownership that is the problem in peewee the problem is not enough players willing to play that aspect of the game.

Bottom line is that reducing cost WILL encourage Pee Wee ownership. I'm not saying it will solve the problem BUT this is one of the things that GLB can do to encourage Pee Wee to grow.

Doesn't cost anything to create a one and done dot. Only cost if people are stupid enough to pay to boost that dot.

This is why I think they should make the pee wee league a non boosting league

Pee Wee will grow when you can fill the teams that are already there.

just because there are more human teams doesnt mean that there will be more pw players. i used to make lots of pw players, but i'll never go back in a serious way until penalties are fixed. there's enough randomness due to 1 dimensional builds at that level, no reason to add a randomness that you cant do anything about.

Something does need to get done with PeeWee ... but not sure the cost of the team has much to do with it.
Fact is - most people, at least those building O side dots ... would rather play D leagues, and face idiotically bad CPU defenses playing near constant zone coverage ... so they can put up numbers, rather than face real teams and schemes.
Stat whoring D leagues help keep PW empty.

Also if you plan on keeping a dot, staying in Pee Wee means that you are going to lose a ton of VP compared to other dots created on the same day and who are able to boost to 4.

Penalties has been toned down a LOT

No they aren't peewee teams ownership is the same as all other teams. The price to own a team doesn't have a damn thing to do with the problems peewee has. The problems are that it is 1 and done and if a team boosts their dots to actually have a chance to win then you are wasting flex. Another problems are that anyone that builds a dot that they plan on keeping screws themself if they sign with a peewee team because they can't boost to 4 before season rollover.

The issue in Pee Wee has never been people not willing to shell out 400 flex to get the team, the issue has been trying to find 55 players willing to pay to play for one season.
The free player and rental CEQ should have saved Pee Wee, but it didn't.
There's never a glut of people selling their pee wee team because 400 flex is too steep.
partially disagree. most copper and silver teams don't boost or rent EQ so the cost is ZERO (100% recycled) except for the cost of renewing the team each season. I do agree that the 400 cost isn't too steep, but GLB would be better served to encourage both team ownership and boosting dots, which would create a better playing experience and more income for GLB
So what pee wee needs is for dots to be totally isolated from regular and casual play...teams should cost less, boosting should cost less (similar to the rented EQ), advancement should be more rapid (maybe 2-5 times as fast) and thereby give players a better experience and increase revenue AND give newcomers to the post-beta game a way to see how it works.
