i like the idea of hurry up PLAYS, but not for the entire drive, but only if the previous play was a run or a completed pass. defensive players on the field would override what was in the DAI. which is why i cant see it ever being done because people hate to give up any control.
the clock management skills of dots are horrible now, and without onside kicks its basically impossible to overcome a 9+ point edge with less than 7 minutes left in the game, so +1 to something that tell teams to line up a bit faster inside of two minutes
In theory this is a good idea, but in practice it would be total chaos to implement. The entire goal of this would be to catch the D in a formation that would make them vulnerable. The way I'd want to do this is by being able to go out in say I-Form, then be able to run a play out of that then have different players move to different spots to be able to then run plays out of Shotgun, Trips, 4 Wide and 5 Wide. Basically shift it and have the TEs, HB ect move out to Wideout spots. Then get the advantage of them not being able to sub, and have to cover me with LBs ect.
If something like this could be implemented, then I can see a merit in it. But I feel like it would be really difficult to do, and wouldn't work as well as it is in theory.

Yawl are wAYyyy over thinking this. The more complicated you make it (like having it always available or trying to use it to catch a defense in some compromised formation) the more you invite bugs and troubles and abuse. IF... if this is to EVEN be considered (at least as far as I would consider it) it would be to simply help out time management on scoring drives late in a half (read; 2 minute drills). Even then I'd barely consider adding it to the game.
Right Theo, Only way you could "Catch" the D off guard is if they didn't have an Input for whatever Formation/Down/Distance you was in...Not trying to do that, I just want to Run more Plays, "Time Wise" without having to Spike the Ball or Call Timeout. Maybe the Sim already does this, lol? Hell, IDK, It's not like we can see the Dots between Plays?
well, if you are behind in the 4th, the sim does run plays much faster. not sure if they are doing no huddle or not, but i've seen tons of 3 and outs run in around 45 secs even with a reception. even when you try to run-run-run, it seems that the next play isnt taking the 40-50 secs that it would normally.
what i'd like to see (assuming that bort could code it w/o a million bugs), would be for any ai input, a check box would appear for "no huddle". that play would run with whatever players were already on the field for both sides. the play could not have been preceded by a punt, KO, timeout, incomplete pass, or turnover. the plays would run in in 1/3 to 1/2 the normal time.
I noticed in a Game the other day, There was 49 Ticks on the Clock and the Defense was out of TO's. We snap the ball with a Run Play called and that was the end of the Game....Why is this happening? Is there not a Play Clock or sorts in this Game?
