In other words, without knowing how those BTs were spent how do you know it had any impact on the game?

I can see I am going to need to break this down for you.

FACT - When you make a brand new dot it starts out with 15 unused BTs
So 55 dots x 15 unused BTs = 825 BTs in case you hadn't figured out how I came up with that number.

FACT - When a dot increases 1 level they get 5 BTs.
So if 5 BTs = 1 level then 15 BTs = 3 levels worth of difference.

So that would mean if a dot has not spent a single BT and is going up against a player that has spent 15 BT, it would be like a level 1 dot going up against a level 4 dot.
