I have 1 more question for you. When do you unlock multi-training? After the 2nd cap?
Ah! I've unlocked multi-training on all my dots, most of whom are approaching their first softcap. Do you think I should hold off on that and focus on getting their primaries up to 2nd or 3rd cap with intense training? The Bonus Points are spent in any case but if it makes more sense to single train in the early stages of building, then so be it.

73 or 77. Back in the day I did take every build straight to 83 or 85, but with accelerated leveling and four-way multi-training that's only best for really extreme results. For instance, I do want my OL to have strength, agility, and blocking in huge amounts and I'm not really worried about anything else. But on my HB, I need more than crazy speed. I want him to be able to break tackles and catch passes effectively as well. What I'm saying isn't that going to 83+ is wrong, but rather that how far you go depends on what kind of dot you want to make. If you do want to be a super-speed HB like Catch22's on my team, then you need to go even beyond 85, and that's a perfectly valid choice. Just keep in mind that going to such extremes is not the only way to build.
This seems to make sense to me. I'm building an elusive HB, 2 Power Receiving TEs (and trying different build strategies on them) and 2 DT. These last two seem pretty straightforward lots of Strength, Agility and Tackling will serve them through their careers. As for the offensive dudes, I'd like to try this more balanced approach that jdbolick is discussing. Still very early days and I won't fully understand the fruits of my labours for several seasons, but your advice and insights are invaluable. Thank you.
