Because you do not have 100,000 flex on the hoof the way I do, or are just swimming in money, or do not have a wife looking over your shoulder whenever the bank statement comes in.

I disagree. I simply have patience. Building a new dot before 41 is just dumb. So we can rule that immediate flex reason out. You can wait on boosting until 48 or so which eliminates that immediate need. That leaves paying to renew a team. And Dub has already mentioned, at least twice, that Support is willing to work with you and delay the team renewal for an Owner if he requests. So.. we are left with impatience. If there is another reason, please tell me. I just don't see it.

A game feature should not require you to use support to get it.

Waiting till day 48 does not help your team in a playoff run.

Nothing wrong with building a dot on day 40.

Having something to do between days 32 and 41 in a game you pay to obtain online entertainment, priceless.

maybe you should try harder to actually win so that you wont be bored from days 32 to 41. from a business perspective, anything that makes people spend more money is good. there is no downside any more in waiting until day 41 or even day 48 to build a player.

That being said, maybe the Owner of your team wants to play a few scrimmage rematches against a favorite rival or even just the meaningless games at the end of the season to try out different AIs. He paid for a team. How is it fair that he will suddenly have holes in his roster.

The money thing is the only real argument against this.

However I would submit that more is lost than gained when people just give up and sell their teams and walk away rather than buy more flex right after being knocked out of the playoffs.

As for trying to win, I am not the only one suffering from this so stop making it about me, and I DO try to win.

This is a consideration, its true. But meaningless AIs and games can be played with CPUs, and against this downside he does get the benefit of trying to sign new players to fill the gaps who actually will be with his team next season and getting to test his AIs with those new dots instead of the old ones.

IF you were actually trying to win, then you would sell all but 1 team and concentrate on learning how to win. once you get 1 team winning, winning with multiple teams is a lot easier. you are so busy trying to change the game to fit your vision, that you dont take the time to actually learn how to win w/i the confines of the actual sim.

That's why I don't see this happening.

So, what is the angle here? To get refunded flexies before day 41 so you can create on day 40, or to force an agent to retire because he didn't re-sign with your team if that was his stated excuse?

Both seem like an unneeded change to the game....... just be patient and create on day 40 (or 48 for that matter now), and on the other front, it would be pretty wrong to force a player to retire because he verbally said it was his intent. People lie, and sometimes circumstances change.......

For the umpteenth time I am really only running one of these teams.

Angle is to the benefit of the dot agent, to allow him to

1) Get his flex out of his dot before day 41 so he can,

a) Boost Other Dots still in the playoffs

b) Renew Team Ownership

c) Build a Dot on Day 40

2) Have Something to do between Day 32 and Day 41 other than cruise the forums

A side benefit is to the Team Owner, since an open slot he was going to need to fill anyway could be filled early. But thats not the primary purpose.
