-1 too much subjectivity, one person's idea of good advice isn't necessarily the same as another persons... better to cast a wider net and get more differing opinions... especially as quickly and as often and things change...also, there is so much that no one but Bort (or maybe a few Admins) actually know--answers from anyone else is often just a guess or assumption

The problem is that all too often the net nets nothing but sea weeds, or very few fish indeed. And as you note advice can often be a guess at best.

The result can be a frustrated agent whose question is never answered, or answered much much later, or whose sole random answer is from someone who gave him bad advice!

With my idea at least he is going to get one reasonably likely to be decent bit of advice.

Here are the threads that put me in mind of this suggestion.

One Response in 5 days

Zero Responses in Six Days which seems to be the norm for Position Talk Forums
http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=4966665

Also you all are ignoring the "AI Forum" idea completely....

terrible

many mods may be good at moderation but not so much at the game itself - I have even seen poor / wrong advice offered from mods and admins

and what is a good build for one system may be bad for another

Bad advice is better than crickets for player retention IMO

But beyond that, note that the parties would be preselected to have some skillz.

Position Talk forum needs to have all positions merged into one forum. There is too much clicking needed to get to the sub sub sub forums and too little discussion within.

Really bad idea.

Agreed. In my own best interests, I can't go into any further detail than this.

lol Dub....

@ Red, I dunno. New kid wanders in, asks questions, gets no response, feels all alone in the world and quits. Its like logging into a low population MMO, boring solitaire feeling. Bad advice he doesnt know is bad for seasons.
