I have the greasemonkey script. When I need something specific, it comes in handy. EL is only a general gauge. I also have another script which shows calculated player value, taking EQ, SAs, and VAs into account, which EL doesn't. It's a more accurate gauge, but not available for any search option. Some of those modifiers can make a dot better than another with a higher EL.
Btw, I often will recruit dots with a lower EL because I can see what the agent is shooting for build-wise. That EL can quickly swing positive when he begins working on other attributes. If not, the agent will usually ask for help, and I get him back on track again. So, negative EL doesn't always mean the dot should be scrapped.
