We'll figure it out but how would you compare say

100 speed
80 agility
40 catching
30 vision

to

92 speed
72 agility
62 catching
55 vision

No offense man.....I truly mean no harm when I say you don't know what you are talking about right now. I know you think you do but in all honesty go back and read the previous posts that state how to start your dot and learn from it.

I am not going to argue or debate you. I don't have the time nor the energy. The information is there.....what you do with it is up to you.

It's now vs later, IMO. The 1st guy is sure fast... but will drop a lot of passes (catching) and fail to get open sometimes (vision). BUT, down the road, when you can get those skills up more, then he'll have the advantage a little. I built a Power WR so his build was much more like the #2 build you've posted... along with strength and carrying and jumping. He couldn't outrun many CB's and safeties when he hit plateau, but he pretty much catches whatever is thrown at him... and many times even when he's not open (jump and carrying help there). For a PURE speedster WR, I'd prefer the 1st build... even if it meant not being able to do as much at the lower levels.

The way we build dots these would be our base attributes at day 280:

105 speed (160-163 with equipment or 163-167 combined with VA's)
95 agility (around 98-100 with VA's)
85 catching (90+ with VA's)
70-80 vision

I laughed when I saw the numbers he used. He put 100 speed which means he is talking a day 280 build and for him to put down that kind of agility and catching and vision is just funny.

We are trying to inform him there is a better way to build a dot than how he currently builds them.

Not with 100 base speed its not. That's a day 280 build he is referencing if he is using 100 natural speed.

well i mean maybe not for most dots, just point being. that's note even close to an end build for any dot

like that end build would be p much be worse than my FB at level 45 so i was p close

carrying/stamina should all be around 70 end build so go from there. vision possibly close to that as well.

The point wasn't the exact numbers but the fact that major skills were much futhers along but not as extreme.
Most of the "elite" dot builders in this post seem to think 150 speed is the end all be all. When everyone has 140+ speed, it doesn't really matter if you have 145 or 150. That extra 5 points is not making you burn a man corner. Its the rest of your build that will do the job.

Get down off your high horse. Part of this game is experimenting seeing that no one has the recipe for the perfect dot. If you like to cookie cutter your dots because some one had success doing so 4 seasons ago, then I say thank you for the information that was posted and GTFO the thread.

I don't claim to know everything, In fact I created this thread to gather information on building a player. Thanks again for the info.

You base this off of World League experience? You base this off of how many MVP's you have won? You base this off of how many teams you have GM'ed in the Pro or World leagues?

We are trying to tell you how to succeed in the upper levels of this game. If you wish to keep doing what your doing and never reaching the top than have fun with that.
