My guess is Relentless Pursuit is coded as a "flat bonus" to the break block roll.

I found 2-4 points of it was brutal effective in peewee ball, but it seemed near useless on older dots.

Blitz isn't good but I've seen/had success with Relentless Pursuit on the RDE, not so much on the LDE side.

All SAs are flat bonuses to the roll. That is why % AE has always been far superior to SA gear for enhancing a roll once you get very far into your build.

I think the issue with Relentless Pursuit is that again, it is a flat bonus. If a blocker is beating the pass rusher by alot, a flat bonus is not going to help. The only time it would help is if the break block roll / hold block roll is close. However, if the roll is close, it is unlikely that the OL will hold the block for long enough to trigger the SA. Thus, it's benefit is limited.

Good explanation. I still like to use it to see them go into "warp speed" once it kicks in. lol

And yet, if the difference is small, it might help. Which is quite often the case for the SDC SA in particular. Sometimes it is worth it to invest a little bit in flat bonuses. (How does one say the plural of bonus anyway?)

I have seen one dot where adding 6+ RP truly improved his performance. He was a Str based DE, and he actually made the WL All Star game in Season 23.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1705745

He went from 8 Sacks in OPL in Season 22, to 27 sacks in WL in Season 23.

After that, we tried adding RP on other dots, but we did not see a noticeable improvement for those dots. Thus, you are correct that even a small difference can help, but it is hard to know which dots are losing their rolls by just a little, vs a lot.

Very well put. Like most things in this game, the buyer's actual gas mileage may vary, lol.
