Both taut and Time_trial have other agent's player on their team, though it's a very small part.XD

Yes a ton of good dots are tied into Networks and sure it could be a pain to recruit dots, but then you have people like Ezra that have no problem going outside of networks to fill up 3 pro level teams...and then he does the same for other peoples teams because people just like him for some reason.

Also, fwiw I could have gotten sick dots several times over for some of my teams had those teams not been tied to a Network...

Not really sure what point you're trying to make since Ezra is part of a network. I'm sure many of the FAs he recruits are merely people looking to join a network rather than a FA looking for any random team.

Oh wait, you're part of the same network.

Nah, you don't have to actually have a dot on the team in order to post in the team forums. That's why my teams and many others have a ton of people as lolGMs that aren't really affiliated with the team. There's probably a number of one or two agent teams out there that have much more active team forums than most teams with 40 agents.

The extended amount of time required to handle a team alone would also mean some things might be done in a rush, which would eventually cause mistakes.

I don't think a single one-man team has made the WL, although I do remember one reaching the pros some seasons ago if my memory doesn't fail me.

My personal answer would be "Cause it's fun!". You get a team built exactly as you like, and with the build quality you want. And no one would whine or complain. And the players would be built exactly for the role they would perform. Trust me, if to me 2000 dollars wouldn't matter much, I'd spend it here and get my own team. Unfortunately, I'm a scrooge, and thinking about spending that in a game feels like stabbing myself in the back (contorcionism bonus).

Dharma made it... but in all fairness I did recruit three dots that weren't mine to replace some absolute shite.

dont we get one of these threads just about every season?

ITS NOT CHEATING IF THE ABILITY IS AVAILABLE TO EVERYONE. if you chose not to do it, then dont whine when others chose to do it.

And one man force isn't cheat.
It's just you are not good enough, man.

this is coming from me just seeing him in the PLFT forum over the last few seasons. He seems like a good owner, if i didnt make shitty dots i would try and get on his team tbh. There arent many funny owners who can win anymore. Again before people say anything, this is just from seeing him post in a single forum.

Honestly, props to the 1 man teams. Shit must be fucking insane. I own quite a few peewee dots and it drives me nuts even though if their builds suck it doesnt matter or if i mess up it doesnt matter. I couldnt even begin to imagine trying to actually take care of 55 dots.

Wow, I didn't know dharma had made it (honestly I don't pay much attention). My hat's off to you, man. Or, well, it would be if I wore hats.

Just took the time to calculate how much I would need to get a flawless team just like I wanted it, it would take 325500 FP So something like 2 hall of fame packages, maybe just one if one got a sale. I dunno, I'm afraid I'd spoil myself that way if I did it eheheh...

This.

I owned a solo team, and got it to the national pros in S16. That happens often enough, not just once.

I started mine in season 6 because the team I had before that was just too much of a hassle to recruit for and I figured screw it I'll do it myself.

Well it does have its plusses, but in general it sucks. Its boring, no one to talk to or brag with or bitch together with. And the amount of coordinating scouting and game planning is alot to deal with time wise, not to mention maintaining 55 dots on top of that. Its a huge time sink, and a huge money sink as well. Especially when you consider that to maintain that 55 man roster you need several other younger 55 man rosters in training on the way up to replace them when they decline. It was too costly and too boring, I gave it up in S18 or so. Recruiting is a drag but its more fun than playing with yourself.

And as for it being an advantage, to misquote Richard Pryor,

"Being a solo team owner lets you do everything you want to do with your teams tactics and builds"

"Yeah, but what if you're an idiot?"

My team is in USA Pro right now, and it isn't cheating by any stretch. I have a number of dots on that team that I'd love to replace, but really can't. If you screw up a dot on a team like that you're screwed or have to recruit.

Maintain 55 players is really time sink.
Assign SP, assign VP, assign EQ.......

Oh yeah AND its really much harder to recruit to fill a gap in a solo team too. People generally are not interested.

This is really the main point.

Folks who are good at the game will be good whether they recruit and guide agents (like Rusty Trombone and others) or build their own monolith (like Time Trial and others).
