I've always been *meh* on custom fields being incorporated into the game, precisely because of Bort's concerns about X-rated fields. But I also use Replay Rewrite which exposes me to people's custom fields, and most people behave themselves with the fields from what I've seen. Having a strict no-warning immediate-ban penalty for inappropriate fields would be fine with me.
Downside is we'd probably end up losing a couple of good team owners who try to dance right on the line, but hey, that's why it's a bad idea to dance right on the line... sometimes you lose your balance. Not much sympathy from me on that front. If you don't want to get banned over doing something stupid with your field, then here's an idea: don't do something stupid with your field.
