Work demotion to regional pro as you see fit.

Win or demote. That's what everyone wants right?

This will only get you a competitive hemisphere level. Pro will still suck.

If you take the best 64 teams out of the current pro level and remove the worst 64 teams it would be better any way you look at it. How much better is debatable, but it would be better.

-1 to creating another league level.

Either do it right and demote half the teams down to reg pro or don't do it at all.

That works for one season. Then you demote 32 of those best 64 teams into Pro the following season to destroy regular Pro.

The hemisphere plan is just not a good option. The only way to do it effectively is contracting Nat Pro into 4 leagues.

That said, here are other ideas which I think would be alternatives.

1) Decrease the performance range across all skills and attributes and the effect of SAs VAs etc. Rather than the fastest dot in the game being 20 steps a minute faster than a 100 speed dot, make him only 10 steps faster (just to make up an example), etc etc etc across the board. This would make more realism and sense (no girl scouts on the field with All Pros) and it would make for greater competition while still allowing your build to matter.

No way to this. Higher Attribute means people use more SP to stack that, and you want to make them not worth that?
What are you thinking about man?

2) Get rid of World League and merge those teams and dots into the National Pros. Make WL a 16 team World Championship Tourney that runs from Day 41 to Day 44 each season (with contracts running through day 44) instead. This puts more quality players into the top tier of play improving competition for all.

You make people have half time to game plan, and you want to see more competition?
Bad idea man.
I don't know why people hate WL, but it's not WL make Nas Pro no competition, it's just not enough quality coordinator.
Get rid of WL won't generate more quality coordinator, there will be the same group fight each other.

3) Halve the price of boosting dots. Economics and common sense dictates that this will result inpeople building more dots. More dots, more teams with quality rosters, better competition. It may also keep more people in, and attract more people to, the game, for even more dot population.

4) Reduce the impact of morale by 50%, maybe even 90%. Same same chemistry. Things that punish the weak teams needlessly serve no purpose other than to ruin competition.

Now morale related SA and VA is like garbage, and you still want reduce their impact...........

if everyone wanted the win or demote this would work and i like the win or demote mentality so I'd +1 this

I like this basic idea too. seems like to tier down like this is the most simple way to get the teams of similar strength together, give incentive to make the playoffs to stay, and to win one playoff game and make it to the "divisional" round to promote. should make each game more competitive, and each game matter more since there is reward for just making the playoffs as well as reaching the divisional round.

+1 to contracting 8 Pro leagues into 4 Pro leagues. It'll give more meaning to both Pro and Reg. Pro (at least Reg. Pro Elite).

Yes this way the top teams in each pro league can't go to auto pilot all season and know they will make the play-offs. I think the overall idea of make play offs or demote will hopefully make for more competitive games. Right now the low tier teams in the pro leagues are highly outmatched. If they are in with even strength teams then they will have an incentive to try and win thus the coordinators will do more and learn how to coordinate more efficiently. Thus this could possibly bring more coordinators to the table that are capable of at least helping teams in pro make the playoffs.
