What relevance does a KR/PR have to a discussion about defensive dots?

Also, your trophies suck.

+1 sacks are just too much of it...lowering the weight of sacks would go a long way to balancing this

also, tackles made on ST should NOT count toward DEFENSIVE stats, but currently they do

also, the current blowout adjustment seems overly high to me

I agree. Fumbles need to be a bigger part of the calculation.

whatever happened to those? lol

I've seen plenty of times where the sack leader doesn't win MVP. I've seen a lv 79 slumming in reg. pro win it simply for leading in tackles on a shitty team, but I have also seen it won just for leading in sacks.

I say leave sacks counting as they are and simply increase the consideration for INTs, FFs, and PDs, also make missed tackles count more against it. PDs also should count based on number of targets. If you were targeted 100 times and deflected 35 to lead conference, but allowed 65 catches, then no dice.

Also, FF chance needs a slight increase IMO.

This could work fine, either way you are lowering the relative weight of sacks. FF is screwed up, the Mr. Reliable VA is an issue IMO. 75% not fumble chance on 1st and 2nd down is a lot, I think if it was 2% per point instead of 3% that would really help. I would also love to see a targeted/allowed ratio get put in, with some sort of minimum target requirement. All this is good ,but Sacks are still a problem.

j/k

It would be cool if PDs to Rec Allowd, INts, Tackles, RevCakes, KLs, etc, etc were all weighted somehow so a dot who does exceptionally in one of these areas could win the award. I am guilty of DCing a CB who had a good season with INTs and the last two games I blitzed the crap out of him to get him a DMVP. Sacks are pretty heavily weighted.

You don't have to lower anything about sacks, because getting sacks is a big deal, and that's true in football period. Just give more weight to the other stats that people care about and grade it on some sort of curve. Sounds like a pain in the ass so my guess is probably NGTH.

No matter how they do it through computers and formulas...the result is generally always going to come down to a shitty result.
