i dont think the intention was for every player to have 4 AEQs. if anything, raise it to 50 and make people make hard decisions.

Split it: 38.8

If you want/need more BTs train on light earlier. Problem solved.

This. And if people don't want to do the math they should start training on light real early to have a lot of leeway.

You miss the point

The math crack was about how there is a right answer, and only one. That its a mathematical solution means the game sucks due to lack of choices.

Shouldn't be that way.

Lowering the cost a bit opens up more valid courses of action.

So does training differently to increase the amount of BT. It's a choice.

There is no point to this suggestion - it is garbage.

Even if the cost of EQ upgrades is reduced, there will still be only one right answer and subsequent lack of choices. So this suggestion is meaningless.

No because the choice of which 4th stats to add to the multi training becomes more varied.

If you want build variety,

Use a random upgrade price, you need to put 50 BTs to get an upgrade, but then only 10-50 BTs are actually used (same average as now).

The math crowd will always have an advantage--this suggestion will just encourage a "relaxed" approach to ignoring the math and in doing so give the math crowd an even bigger advantage.

I'd support increasing it to 40 per piece, forcing people to decide between 4 aeq with more light training or 3 aeq with better training

Yes, so just tune up the chance to roll good piece, at least tune down the chance to roll the garbage.
Like a HB roll +make tackle chance, or a QB roll +avoid fake chance.
