originally, there was no reminder of any kind, so they gave us a calendar reminder, and now you want yet another reminder because you cant be bothered to glance at the caledar once every 3 days?
secondly, yet another rule that you dont seem to know...you cant trade amongst your own teams.

This is one of the reasons you fail at this game. There are plenty of important days on the GLB calendar, particularly if you are running a team and deal with free agency, trade deadlines, re-signing agents, etc. I look at it nearly every day. Of course I also don't run 1 billion different crappy teams and focus all my effort on one.
As far as I am concerned this is already in place. There is the little calendar at the top of your home page. It tells you what day of the season it is, as well as what special 'events' are up coming.
No excuse to miss that.

I can manage to keep track of when the playoffs are.
Thats when I can stop game planning usually.

Knowing you, you will have to add into your OP that we will have to have a big flashy new arrow pointing you to the announcement because you are too busy in suggestions to notice the announcement. Then you will need an undo button to fix the fuck up that you just made in releasing someone that you didn't want because you were too busy in suggestions.
