that is part of the problem. They are powerful enough to help, which in turn makes them too powerful. If they can make up for a crap build, then they just over power a good build.
Dam, now it is an exponential problem!!!! Death to VA's!!!!!

I disagree up to a point. I think there could be VAs, but not as man as we have atm. Prolly keep some of them, but not all those and all such crazy ones and players having 70~ of them... that's just sick.
We could keep them, but let players have 10~ at end of the build, to increase a few things and give them a bit of a chance to perform better in their own area. Not doing such a sick system taht we must plan them all each and every season.

i think eliminating v/a all together would be a huge step forward for the game. the average agent doesn't understand them and owners are sick of dealing with them. the v/a system is the reason that the admins have had so much trouble balancing the sim for the last few seasons as evidenced by the frequent nerfs and new v/a. imo, bort & co should just suck it up, admit it was a mistake, and eliminate the entire system. i guarantee the sim would be way more balanced, way more stable, and the game would be less complicated which i think are the three things everyone wants most from this game.

that's a pretty good idea actually. seems like a solid way to have some fun with a declining dot

I don't think this proposal will ever happen, but maybe a compromise would be doable.
How about 30 VAs max and only 10 VA points per VA max.
Issue 5 VAs each level starting at level 74.

Lowering the maximum amount of VA's would be sweet. I would go lower than 30 though. 25 would work, and the max for each VA at 5-10. Honestly, I'd like to see some TEST SERVER stuff done to run about 100 games with 0 VA's to see what each position looked like, etc. I think it would look better imo.

This.
I'd love to see a bigger seasonal reset since 15 is pretty restrictive but VAs add a layer of strategy to a player building process that isn't particularly complex and I'd hate to see them go.

What about VA's makes the game interesting, not trolling, but interested in what it does to stimulate your GLB experience?
