is there really a reason not to at least be on a cpu team once the preseason starts?
Signing with a CPU is a work-around for a system that is broken imo. If Bort & CO is going to cite "no access to a training center" as reason to thwart training based on realistic circumstances then I'd have to say that signing with a team just to utilize their facilities until a better offer comes through is unrealistic.
Being unable to train on days -8 through 0 because a player is not on a team BUT being able to train on days 41-48 as a FA (I'm told you can although my guy was unable to) also makes no sense.
Regardless, moot point. Not enough support. I still stand by my opinion though. It really should be one restriction or the other if pre/post season training is going to be affected by signing status. Either cap it @ 30 and don't allow training or cap it @ 14 and allow training. The former is prolly the best as it would allow for a training restriction to be put in place at all times a player is unsigned as well as allow for a little leeway for those who have a few TP already on D41.
