i didnt say it would bring a negative. i said it has no positive. i'll always -1 an idea that has absolutely zero benefit. instead of attacking why people dont like the idea, just show us a BENEFIT. i'm really not sure why you keep avoiding that.
Positive: Poster can have a number which represents the number of views their post had.
Examples:
Players looking for teams (and Vice Versa): Your team puts in an add in one of the mentioned forums, (Lets just say Cincinatti Bengalz

] It is preseason. A day passes with no PMs sent to the owner/you. Another day passes. Of course you are constantly bumping the post every few hours.
With a View Count button, you see how many views your post has recieved, if you see very few views you know now to greater publicize this post, maybe throw it in your forums, maybe even have the owner/coordinator create a post with a catchier title (One that applies to a larger demographic) in order to increase views, so now you KNOW, your post is being read, you just happen not to be generating PMs. And you now proceed, instead of bumping a useless post, to create a much more alluring post to possible readers.

BTW, had you suggestions a way to see WHO had actually read a thread, i'd give that a +1 as it actually is beneficialI can not take this seriously. If this was seriously a suggestion to help advance the post you would have stated that sentence solely, and promote the thread, possibly PM me requesting to add it on to my post, etc...
Many people see a post and input their suggestion right into the post via comment.
Example:
http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=4903631Ubasstards posts one of his suggestions (A further suggestiion than the post starters suggestion.) In turn the post gains popularity, many people although they upvote Ubasstards post, they are also promoting the entire suggestion.
If you still see this as a waste of your majesties time, feel free to stop bumping this "meanningless thread".
Your opinion is valued, but your unconstructive criticism is not.
