Don't judge me bro

Not only would non-playoff teams get out of paying salary they would also receive extra days of chemistry increase. Really we shouldn't be rewarding teams for not being good enough to make the playoffs.

Well yeah we SHOULD really. Would go towards the whole parity issue.

But more importantly than that is the "Not having paying customers sitting around with nothing to do" factor.

Everyone on the site is a paying customer, so that is a straw man. As for players not having anything to do, there are plenty of teams still in the playoffs who would be happy to get a little help scouting, plenty of recruiters who could use a little help and teams that are missing the playoffs should probably be using the down time to tighten up their AI's and build plans so they don't keep missing the playoffs.

Rewarding mediocrity is a great way to keep people mediocre.

The NFL would disagree

Well not really

But they would say that mediocre versus mediocre is more fun than super-awesome versus mediocre.

I kind of eluded to this on another suggestion.

It's a never ending cycle that people suggest some things so you don't have to do them anymore, then people say there is nothing to do on here. If we keep making it too easy..... interest wanes.

**Not pointing you out or anything. You actually do come up with some good suggestions. I'm just more into the "make it better" suggestions and not the "take away things to do" suggestions.

How does that factor into this suggestion?

Releasing a dot so he can retire is not exactly my idea of bringing action to the game.

Except that in GLB every league but WL is closer to 2 NFL teams, 2 CFL teams, 4 NCAA Div 1 teams, 4 NCAA Div 2 teams, 3-4 high school teams and the rest is beer league flag football teams. Which is what leads to the disparity in scores. The mediocre teams are actually the teams that should be working the hardest during days 32-48 to elevate themselves into a higher tier, whether that be through recruiting, learning to build better dots or learning the ins and outs of the AI.

Alternately, instead of improving you could just come up with a ton of suggestions, most of which are awful, a small percentage of which are okay and the occasionally good one. Won't make you any better at the football sim part of GLB but at least makes you an entertaining forum guy.

I'll give yello1 this, he clearly cares about the game and for the most part his suggestions are made with at least decent albeit self-interested intentions. He's much better imo than guys who just go around making up stats and lobbying for more offense.
