One of those things that teams and players who are out of the playoffs can do is learn the super easy game mechanics of the CFO position. Coming up with a couple of spreadsheets for a few teams and then doing the work for the team owner will help whittle away some of those boring moments from when your team is knocked out of the playoffs and when the next season starts. Obviously the easiest of all the coordinating positions but still a big time saver for over taxed owners. For a great primer check out this thread by reddog:

Well beyond the non-simulation nature of paying them in the offseason, and beyond the inconsistency that its the only financial thing that happens every day, there IS a game play reason for it as well. And you hint at it.

Yes you would be paying more then. But thats when you are making your money as well. its easier to match your salary to your income and to see if there is a problem and if a problem develops unforeseen, you have the opportunity to fix it by trying to increase income or spend less on promotions etc. If you screw up your finances post season though (you spent too much during the season) you're frakked through the whole 16 days, or I guess as much as 24 days if not a playoff team.

It would be much more user friendly to have the income and recurring expenses occuring at the same time. And it is what happens in the sport being simmed. And its what is true for everything BUT this one expense.

well not really. The same issues apply to the playoff period since teams are not generating income then either. But that is only 8 days, not quite as big an issue.

I am the kinda guy who goes straight to the campaign mode with all of the optional rules and won't play anything else.

However I have never been the guy who feels the need to build his own game pieces from poured lead or carved wood either. There is the fun of the game and there is the drudge work the person selling me the game should have done to begin with and I know the difference.



Some people on the game like the drudge work and they enjoy that they have to work to actually be good at the game. with your thinking Bort should just give everyone the same players the same AI and then just flip a coin to see what team wins. most people do not enjoy that type of game or atleast most that I am associated with do not.

so my advice to you is if you do not like the drudge work. and you need to have GLB fix every problem you come across. instead of trying to get better as a player and fix the problem yourself. maybe you need to stop being a owner and stop attempting to be a coordinator. and just build players because as many suggestions as you make. that to most people here are very bad suggestions maybe being a owner or a coordinator just isn't your cup of tea so to speak.
