It's the whole point of there being blowout-adjusted stats.

Yea, just set it up to kick a FG from any spot on the field no matter the down whenever your team is up by 45.

No more blow outs, and your kicker might surprise you with an 80 yarder

All three dots are in the same conference. They obtained those statistics playing games against the same teams. My guys dot has the better statistics but is being penalized with a blow out adjustment because he was on a better team that devastated its competition, the same competition these other dots faced and could not beat.

Hence why he has the better stats. This is literally the entire point of having blowout adjusted stats, so that superior teams cannot statwhore and monopolize MVP trophies, the whole rich getting richer thing.

Isn't rigging your AI like that likely for a ban?

imo stats against playoff teams should only matter in the mvp calculations. it would cut out the whining bout bottom feeders and guts and stuff.

i've been on this boat since the mvp came out. its just too logical for glb to ever implement. as is, the mvp is still usually determined by who blew out the cupcakes the hardest.

Exact opposite. Most blowout games result in the superior team's Defense spending more time on the field allowing them at least 3 plays to rack up tackles/sacks/etc.
The superior team's offense often scores in 1-2 plays, and that's assuming the PR doesn't run a bunch of punts back.

And DEs get plenty of blowout sacks regardless of what other positions are doing.

Well I guess it depends on how bad a blow out, but okay I can see that.

Not only do teams gut midseason - but you also have teams saving boosts until certain times, or using promos for home games. Because of this, teams aren't the same throughout a season and there can be big differences even given the similar schedules. It's -1 for me.

A better solution might be to fix how blowout adjusted stats are calculated. But I have no idea how to do that.

Bah, more good points.

Its not really, my agent just pointed out the lol and couldnt figure out why and when I did figure it out he pointed out the same conference angle, which made me think that it should be changed.

Replies have made me see why its not so easy as that.

Still, it doesn't seem like an equitable result.

Heh that actually sounds like fun.

If I get my OAI settled in enough I try to put in a running game to slow down the scoring, but in a real blow out thats not good enough.
