Todd Haley was a head coach in the NFL and a very successful NFL coordinator without ever stepping on to a football field. Paul Johnson, head coach for Georgia Tech. David Cutcliffe- Duke, George O' Leary-UCF, Bobby Hauck-UNLV all coached and never played a down. Understanding the game of football and playing it are not mutually exclusive, and while having some experience on the actual field helps understand some concepts it certainly isn't mandatory.


you have to be "in it" to understand it fully. theres a difference between those who watch and those who play/coach in terms of knowledge. you expect more from those who played/coached in terms of knowledge.

this is not complex its pretty basic


i stand by my comment in sense that yello knows jack shit bout football in terms of mechanics. yello not knowing the basics explains y all his suggestions with the exception of one that i can think of are off.

and lock this up. as stated above the LDE played the zone perfectly therefore working as intended there's no need for this thread to exist anymore.
