There's nothing like this in real life

By playing them... But

It would give a new owner time to learn.. how to recruit, meet people and get a general feel for all the parts of the team..

No it would not make it so they could step out after 1 season and rule the world.. but it would give them a place to learn about the 50 little things that make up owning a team... was just a thought..

The real need is to get people into more of the GM aspects of current teams before they go off and buy a team themselves. There are a lot of things that need to be done behind the scenes that most people who only run a player or two don't know about until they throw themselves into it.

But they will not force people to do that, and most people don't read instructions, let alone want to learn the ropes of running a team before actually owning one. So they buy a team, try to assemble a roster, get their ass beaten around for a few seasons, realize they are just going to get more of the same all the way up the age based leagues and gut/quit. Maybe some stick it out, some gut and try again.
