Quicker than that. 24 hours should give the option. And I am an owner thats screwed up with this once or twice.

BUT

Game should put a player into the DC automatically ALWAYS not just when its an auto sign.

That would keep people from being screwed by accident.

I like to punish douchebags who send me 100 PMs whining because I won't start their horribly built dot that I signed at the last second over a well built dot.

I dont think so. When we edit title of a post, there is a mark left on the very bottom of the OP that would say:

"Edited by IdRatherFlyFish on Jan 25, 2012 11:05:30"

Since that edit is not present, I don't believe that a Mod adjusted the title of your posting.

Peace,

Fish

+1 especially when you've been in contact with the owner/oc/dc whoever and the changes still aren't being made.

+1 but it needs to be better thought out.

Like there should be a small checklist that would represent the terms of the contract. When all recruiting promises are met and stay met, all things on the list would stay checked. When an owner promises you lots of things he doesn't uphold over a certain period of time, those things would not be checked and you'd have the option to click 'Breach of Contract' at which point you could release yourself from the team.

Would probably also have to include a morale hit for both the player and the team.

Owners, especially new ones, can make mistakes. I've seen situations where you set up an offense and accidentally leave someone out by not including the correct depth or setting your package plays to make use of RB2 or whatever. Or someone joins the team and you set them into depth, get distracted by something and forget to update the depth chart.

If you are out a game, mention it to the owner/OC/DC so they are aware of it. There is no alert if your player never plays a snap. Do it respectfully. Sending a PM calling the owner an a-hole for not putting you in depth and you want to be immediately released or whatever isn't the way to go. Since there is no XP loss anymore for lack of playtime, there is no harm other than perhaps it being boring. If you aren't on depth for several games, or the GM's or owner don't respond or are inactive, contact support. They might be able to help. But being able to just drop from a team because you happened to miss 2 games in a row should never happen.

If you're not on the Depth Chart, PM the team owner NICELY about it -- it could very well just be a mistake.

If they still don't add you, PM Support.

That's your recourse right now if you're getting rotted, and it works pretty well. I see no need for this Suggestion, and I can see ways in which it could be exploited... for example, a GM with Depth Chart access but no contract/release access could simply take his own dots off the Depth Chart, wait two games, and then leave the team.

It would have to be longer than that.

You have to give the owner a chance to fix a mistake he may have made.

Sometimes you will have owners/coordinators who only care about their precious dots. Its happened to me before. I had a Qb and a HB on a casual team and was the DC. after I noticed my QB wasn't playin. I PMd the OC who had the other QB on the team. He told me that my guy wasnt working as he wanted to, even though my stats were better. (I will give him that his QB was a better level than mine, but I dont think that really matters if the stats say otherwise) Since I had the ability, I released my QB and signed another defensive player.

I see what you are saying...however, a new owner should make sure they are up to speed about the depth chart. I also agree that a respectful pm should be sent after one game not on the depth chart. If it happens a second time then there is a problem that should be rectified. If you have dots missing consecutive games because they are not on the depth chart or cannot respond after someone has missed a game, you are not responsible enough or don't have enough time to run a team. I have been on the coordinating side of good and bad owners. I have had people pm me or post in the forum if they are not on the depth chart (usually someone signed or traded for that I didn't see) and I made the adjustments immediately. I think there should be some course of action for a dot that gets hung out to dry through malice, inexperience or lack of time.
