Uhm yeah, that's kind of the point. why did EA release a beta of battlefield 3 for download? so the people could play it and point out all the bugs and improvements before the launch. that is the point of a beta. and if management doesn't think of the user base as beta testers then this game will never make it out of beta. never.

On a side note, keeping the list like it is and never updating it means mods can lock all the threads they want when they are on a power trip or because they just dont like certain people. Ill still never understand why the thread has to be locked if it is on the NGTH list. WHO CARES. if it aint gonna happen let people talk about it till they die instead of locking it. What harm can possibly come from it.

Beyond the never locking a thread aspect, which is a whole debate in itself, mods don't just lock threads in suggestions because they are on a power trip. There's a thread in the moderator forum called "Is This Suggestion NGTH?" where moderators have administrator verification/statement as to whether something is NGTH. In many cases, duplicate threads come up so you'll just get a "NGTH" or something short in the locking message from the moderator.

For one thing, arguing a dead subject just buries good ideas to the back pages. Yello's threads have a tendency to do that.

Many of the threads that are locked with an NGTH as the last post from a mod or admin have an OP that is not listed on the NGTH list. so why not just update it? this goes back to my being lazy comment. seems y'all are too lazy to update a list of all the things you are too lazy to input into your game. I mean shit, there is a suggestion to add an undo button, that is something that should already be in the game. It probably wont make it, because "the coding is too hard."

Anything locked as NGTH has been said by catch or bort that its NGTH. Not really a power trip for the mods. I would suggest any issue with a locked thread could easily be taken to a pm to catch.

Not a fan of the suggestion outlined in the OP -- too pandering and misguided for my tastes -- but I would like to see both the Not Going To Happen and the Frequently Posted Suggestions lists updated more frequently.

what? the suggestion is to update the ngth list. you're not a fan of the suggestion, but you would like to see the list updated more often. how the fuck does that make any sense?
