DM...why don't you admit your reason for such hatred of the HB/FB passes? Well I'll let everyone know. You consider yourself a top Gold DC, but when these passes got popular, you just couldn't find a way to defend them and people, including myself, used them very successfully against your team and that just bruised your ego. Ever since then, you have spouted off about the "evils" of HB/FB passes, and most of us have laughed at you for it.
Well, times have changed and while HB/FB passes are still effective, most teams have adjusted their defenses to counter them so they are no longer the "in vogue" passing plays. That title now belongs to all the new shallow slanting plays. How come I don't hear you mouthing off about those plays?
By the way, if you bothered to read my post and not just make ignorant replies, you would know that I only gave the AI & packages, I never gave the actual plays. This offense is very easy to adjust from season to season, just pick different plays. So if someone wants to go HB/FB pass heavy, they can. But if someone else wants to focus other plays, like the WR/TE slanting and stop plays that were very popular this season, it's an easy adjustment.
And lastly, instead of trying to piss on a post that is trying to help the PW community, why don't you actually contribute something of your own to help and not just turn into another Siggy-Mike.
Where have i ever ever ever promoted anything about my abilities as a DC in any league? And I was bashing OC's for lack of game planning and using this as a tactic way before I ever switched to DC. It wouldnt be a story Gerr, if it werent for PF screwing the defense so bad the way it has in the past. If you could really play 1v1, def back vs wr and coverage wasnt terrible on the hb/fb... ehh well you know the rest.
I came into this game during the early seasons 12-14 slam fests when you could cover a WR/TE 1-1 and your ability to stop the run would make or break your defense, and yes, I do miss those days. Not a fan of this throw 80% or more of the time with an over powered PF and slants and poor coverage on HB/FB's, but this is how the sim is now and you either have to adjust to what works, or fade into nothing and just bitch about the good old days. Personally, I would like throwing in general to be turned down a notch and rushing up a notch to where teams can do either successfully and run a balanced offense. I don't see that coming anytime soon, so I make due with what the sim gives me. And if that means spamming FOTM plays to win, then so be it. Remember that people don't remember HOW you won a gold trophy, only that you did or did not.
One input that bites a lot of new guys setting up their first peewee offense is 4th and outside FG but inside the 30. As many of you know the sim won't allow a punt inside the 30 and it will call a random play if you try to punt.

Oh, how I fondly remembered glaring at my AI trying to figure out why that was happening

Thanks for catching that. I totally forgot to put it in, so just did.
