I thought the idea of plateau was to be able to sit back and watch your dot at the height of his career without having to mess with his build any longer.

What's wrong with giving them smaller amounts of vet or exp pts since they have already reached a level of professionalism?

That's the part of GLB I like. Messing with their builds to make them better players.
Even older players in the real world of football never stop learning how to play the game. Their physical abilities may decrease but their mental abilities don't. Not counting concussions.
Maybe a special veteran ability category that only deals with the mental aspects of football.

Dots are given a set amount of VPs for the same reason you only receive a certain amount of SPs. The idea is to limit the amount of VP per player to encourage a bit more diversity among builds.

I guess it all comes back to, how much more is more? To continue building and growing a player would suggest what I said, create an X-GLB for extreme dots. Infinite builds would be the suggestion of this thread, and I do believe that is NGTH. I guess that would be nice just to be able to play on without wondering if you should train a, b, c, or d today.

I don't believe in super players or desire an X-GLB. I just want to be able to do something with them besides just watching them play. I can watch a football game on TV for that.

It's about being at the highest levels and watching your dot contribute to something bigger than him...his team. That's what separates a Tea Baggins from a Larry Johnson12.
(I just threw up a little)

The first couple of extended plateau seasons are not so bad, but after 5 or six of them it sucks. I then lose interest in the game. Maybe it's just me and it's time I left GLB and spent more time on my Harley.

Say this was added. How does adding one VP to your dot once in a blue moon make it more exciting?
Better yet, if you don't care to watch replays what does it matter if the few points in a VA makes a difference in how your dot plays? You won't know since you don't watch him.

What he said
If a car can go 350 mph, adding 2 more mph to it would do what?

This is what the game is. Either you deal with it, retire and create more players (boosting or not) spread out over more time so they aren't all there at once.

Examples huh. Well how about only 50 Vet pts/day. Maybe be able to transfer vet pts from one ability to another during the season. How about an ability that allows you to have a greater knowledge of what the teams game plan is or allows you to freelance more due to being a knowledgeable veteran. I don't know.
Any suggestions from ya'll?
