The problem lies in the fact that you could use every token you get the first couple seasons for SP's to take advantage of the early ALG's, and then every time you level up at the end of the build, convert the SP's back to tokens for AEQ at zero penalty.

The only way I would cease opposing it would be if an SP converted to only ten tokens rather than 15. Even then I'm not sure it's a good idea, but at least there would be a penalty for doing it.
