I've been an OC since season 3... and I will tell you the best WR's aren't speed demons. It just doesn't work at the higher levels... you can't get open. Guys with 40 less speed will cover you just fine. it's really f'ed up.

I made a living using speedster TE's... and will have GLB's #1 All-time TE shortly (currently at #2). But even my 105 base speed TE's can't get open on slow LB's anymore... so don't think it's gonna work unless the sim changes bigtime. I can show you countless examples of my TE's wide open 10 yards ahead of the defender... and the ball is rarely thrown in stride. Usually it's thrown short and knocked away. Until the sim changes, it's almost a waste getting wide open.

You can dominate leagues below Pro... but in Pro+ forget it.

The best WR's just catch whatever comes their way. If you take speed that high... I doubt you'll catch as many balls as you think. Same time I'd like to have 1 speed burner on the team to keep the D honest.

I know what I am doing, I have played since season 2 but took a break from this for awhile. My WR is not just going to be pure speed. Even though he will be extremely fast, I have a plan.

Well this isnt true.

at least 10 SP down on most WR's of his level, must be building wrong already

I have just been training agility which is pretty high now, once I start training all my other attributes I will be the same as everyone else. I did my research and my WR is the second highest rated WR in GLB level 16 and under! Have had a great season, looking for better ones in the future once I can actually catch a ball! haha

agility shouldn't be over 40 at this point unless you're taking it up first or speed is already 80+

agility is 40 without spendingg any skill points on it. Speed was over 80 awhile ago.

15 - 20 does not equal 40. Many coverage LBs in high leagues have 145 speed, some have over 150, and almost all of them have at least 140.

The problem you are going to run into is that almost every DB in the WL will have 100 natural speed, 155 with equipment, and is going to be sporting 15 Ball Hawk which is going to throw that speed up to 185 once the ball is thrown. And while your WR will have track star, the DB might have it as well.

So your WR has to have the enough time to get open, then has to hope that the ball can get there before the DB catches up.

So you dump a ton of extra sp or training into giving your WR 10 more pts of speed than the CB, then most of the benefits are negated by a single VA.

Can someone stop him? Well not so far..
